East Coventry will be standing up for a drug free America during the nation’s most important drug prevention event, Red Ribbon Week! The purpose is to deliver a powerful message encouraging all of our students to make smart, drug free choices. Everyone will be given a red ribbon to wear for the week and each day will have a different theme. Our announcements each morning will include a message related to that day’s theme.
Monday 10/24 – Work out to keep the drugs out! Wear your
Work out clothes to school!
Tuesday 10/25- Follow your dreams, don’t do drugs! Pajama Day!
Wednesday 10/26 –Mix it up at lunch day! Mix it up outfit day! Backwards, inside out-crazy colors! Have fun! We will also have conversation starters on the table at lunch to stimulate new and interesting conversations among our students.
Thursday 10/27– - Pink out to keep the drugs out!!!-Wear Pink. Classrooms will have a competition to see which grade level has the most participation!!! East Coventry will wear pink today to support Breast Cancer Awareness.
Friday 10/28- Make your own Spirit Day!! Each classroom will promote community and this month’s theme “friendship” by agreeing on their own unique spirit day!
*Students can fill out a raffle ticket each day they dress according to theme on Monday, Tuesday , and Thursday. Ten winning tickets will be drawn on those three days with small prizes given.
